Use !bl-dns-slow to perform a thorough reputation lookup for an Internet DNS name and all the public IP addresses used by its Internet services.

This command checks whether a domain name is listed in bad-reputation lists, not-safe-for-family lists, or not-safe-for-children lists. It also checks the reputation of every IP address supporting the domain name, which may involve many distinct systems. As a result, !bl-dns-slow may take longer to complete than other reputation lookup commands.

Reputation lists may classify domain names or IP addresses due to malware-related activity, spam emissions, social engineering activity, or advertising through spam. If a domain name simply hosts adult-content or other content not suitable for children, this will be clearly stated. If an IP address belongs to a special category but is not characterized as malicious, this will also be clearly stated.

A malicious characterization does not imply intent by the people or organizations behind the domain name or IP address. Systems may be compromised, misconfigured, or exploited by external actors. Some listings may also be false positives or artifacts of how reputation signals are processed.

If a domain name or IP address registered to you is listed in a bad-reputation list, you should investigate your systems with your hacker in residence and contact the reputation list maintainers if necessary.

If your domain name is listed in the IPduh rep or your IP address is listed in the IPduh ip-rep list, wait for 24 hours. The listing will expire automatically. IPduh processes a very small amount of signals and is not used by external systems. The rep and ip-rep answers provided here are informational tips that may help system administrators or analysts understand unusual traffic or debug issues.
